Start with your own body.
Something I realized again today while teaching my students.
Before coming to this class,
Many different things are happening to each and every person.
If you experience physical discomfort,
I sometimes feel emotionally exhausted.
and,
Customer traffic suddenly came to a complete halt,
If you feel unwell,
Trouble may occur.
"For some reason, things haven't been going well lately."
When you feel that way,
It's often not a coincidence.
Those feelings of pain and signs are,
It is clearly manifesting itself in the body and in reality.
"You have to take care of yourself."
"You must have your own core values."
Everyone understands it intellectually.
But the human body isn't that simple.
- It breaks down because you push yourself too hard. - You become unwell because you are stressed.
Not only that,
I'm trying to cover up the fact that I actually think otherwise.
I've been enduring it and continuing on.
Even though you're already trying hard enough, you might be putting pressure on yourself by thinking, "I have to try even harder."
I tried too hard to conform to what others were saying.
Sometimes I don't even know what I really want anymore.
By continuing to harbor things that are not true to oneself,
Not only in the form of physical ailments,
Customer traffic stops.
Trouble occurs,
Even in that form, it can sometimes let us know that "things are different now."
In particular, attracting customers
This might be the area where your own state of mind is most clearly revealed.
If you force yourself to hide your true feelings,
It will somehow get conveyed to the customers.
And this isn't just about us.
The customers we serve are also,
Similarly
Physical ailments,
Emotional distress,
And sometimes it's about work, money, or relationships.
We're receiving similar signals.
That's why,
First, being able to feel your own body is
This also serves as the foundation for becoming a therapist who can truly understand and respond to the needs of their clients' bodies and minds.
Things I don't understand,
I don't understand other people either.
Therefore, I
Instead of just teaching the technique,
We place great importance on students being able to feel their own bodies.
"I'm feeling a bit tired today."
"It hurts here"
"This is how I feel right now."
Being able to say what you want to say is also important.
An important lesson for therapists.
Listen to the voice of your own body.
Feel your own feelings.
And then, put it into words.
Before touching a person's body,
Start with your own body.
That too,
I consider it part of the training to develop therapists.
