Our bodies contain hundreds of millions of tiny "power plants" where energy, like electricity, is produced.
The name of that power plant is Mitochondria .
This is where the oxygen and nutrients we take in when we eat and breathe are converted into usable energy for our bodies.
When this function weakens, you become easily fatigued, much like your smartphone battery dies. Conversely, when you're working energetically, both your body and mind are fully recharged.
When mitochondria function properly, we can stay healthy. However, when stress and fatigue cause muscles to stiffen or blood flow to stagnate, it becomes difficult for oxygen and nutrients to reach these "power plants."
Massage relaxes the muscles and improves blood flow, allowing plenty of fresh oxygen and nutrients to reach the mitochondria.
This allows the power plants (mitochondria) to work at full capacity, smoothly producing energy within the body, making you less prone to fatigue and accelerating cell repair.
We receive reports from EAO students about the positive effects of Swedish massage on their clients almost every day.
One reason why Swedish massage, among the many massage techniques in the world, excels at stimulating blood flow and relaxing muscles without damaging them, is that it can effectively approach mitochondria.
