Lacking confidence in my oil massage skills, I spent two years trying out various oil massages twice a month. While each treatment felt good, none of them quite clicked. But the moment I experienced Kaori-sensei's massage, I knew it was the one! My impression of oil massages was that they felt good but didn't really loosen up the muscles, but my perception was completely overturned. As a physical therapist, I wanted to provide not only relaxation but also physical care, and her techniques were a perfect fit for me.
And when I talked to the teacher, I felt—though it may sound presumptuous—that we had some things in common, and that she understood me very well. I thought, "I want to be taught by Kaori-sensei," and I made up my mind to enroll.
Since enrolling in the school, I've been practicing on my family and friends, and the reactions from those who have received massages have been fantastic. Even people who used to dislike oil massages have come to enjoy them!
