I first learned about this school back in 2022, when I had just returned to the therapist profession after a long break. I found their Instagram account before opening my own practice.
Even before enrolling, I was drawn to Kaori-sensei's emphasis on "how to use the body" and "treatment methods that do not injure the therapist's own body," as well as her gentle hand movements, and I was interested in her.
When I decided to enroll in the school and came for a trial lesson, I was experiencing some physical ailments, but I still wanted to continue being a therapist.
At the school, you will receive repeated instruction on fundamental aspects such as how to use your body, posture, gaze, relaxing and surrendering to your body, and the importance of awareness.
Even if you understand something intellectually, it takes a long time for your body to be able to do it.
This is the most important and most difficult part, so I recommend the professional course, which allows you to take your time and thoroughly master it.
In fact, when I'm performing treatments on clients, I know firsthand how difficult it is to tell them to "relax," so I can speak from the client's perspective.
Thanks to Ms. Kaori's wonderful personality, the students who gather from all over the country are all kind and lovely people, and it's also a very beneficial place for therapists to share their concerns with each other.
When you run a salon by yourself, there are inevitably some areas where you might lose focus, so I'm very grateful that you take the time to give me individual attention.
Many therapists, regardless of experience level, come to learn from us from all over the country, so even those living far away can attend with peace of mind.
If you're still undecided, I encourage you to take the first step by taking a Swedish language course.
